Saracen announce 2017 Myst Team and frameset

For the past 18 months the team at Saracen has been working on its World Cup and World Championship winning chassis with its dedicated Madison Saracen Factory Race team.

The development process saw five different alloy mules and countless hours in the saddle to prove the theory and 3D CAD development. The frames first broke cover at the 2015 DH World Champs and it’s been a long process getting the chassis exactly how the designers and the team wanted it.

Built from a mixture of Toray 24T/30T UD carbon with 3K reinforcement in strategic areas on the downtube, Saracen has saved 560g on the existing alloy front triangle.

Saracen also incorporated the ability to fine-tune the front-centre + 8mm forward and -5mm backwards with its custom headtube and headsets. Following another stellar race season, Saracen also improved the brake hose routing on the UD carbon rear triangle which is now internally routed in the seatstays.

The UD Carbon links save 110gms over the original CNC machined alloy linkages, and Saracen relocated the shock cradle to the downtube to lower the centre-of-gravity and improve the stand-over. The integrated fork bump-stops helped clean up the front end of the bike and also house the cable ports for the rear brake hose and rear derailleur cable.

Myst Team £5299.99
