Bike-bag maker Scicon of Italy has changed its distribution model in the UK and will now sell via a dealer direct model.
“After several years of successful collaboration with Saddleback, the distribution partnership for the Scicon brand in the UK has come to an end," said Christian Pearce, sales and marketing manager at Scicon.
Saddleback added: "We’ve had a successful relationship with SciCon over the past few years, but as we mature as a business it’s time for us to concentrate on exclusive partnerships with our ever growing portfolio of premium brands.”
Scicon products will be available to dealers in the UK through sciconbags.com, with a dedicated B2B area.
"Bike bags and bike cases are often the last thing customers have in mind when planning their trips, and fast and on time delivery is vital," said Pearce.
"Previously, if a product was not in stock, dealers where forced to wait for restocking or to choose another brand. With the new website, information will be available immediately with confirmed delivery date and express shipping options.”
Existing Scicon customers will be required to create a new account on sciconbags.com. Shipping will be handled through Scicon’s logistic hub in Italy.
