Show is only a month away and is planning to bring together cycling talent past and present for Commonwealth year

Scottish Bike Show gears up for Commonwealth Games year

New exhibitors have signed up to The Scottish Bike Show including Brompton Bicycle, Planet X, Hoy Bikes and Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative.

Now less than one month away, organiser Magdala Media has revealed its SBS Theatre will play host to Sir Chris Hoy, Craig McLean, Finlay Pretsell (Director of Being David Millar and Standing Start), James McCallum, Brian Smith and a few more names to be revealed shortly.

Visitors will also have the chance to ride on the velodrome throughout the weekend and take part in numerous activities.

"As it’s Commonwealth year we wanted to bring in the cycling talent of past and present to be showcased on the SBS Theatre," explained Magdala Media MD Rowan Mackie.

"We are the only exhibition to take place in the Emirates Arena & Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome and will be for many years to come, so this year’s SBS is shaping up to be huge for Commonwealth year and we are making the final preparations to make it the biggest show to date."

Rollapaluza will be at the show to entertain with 500m or 1km dash, as will The Clan stunt team, a new bike fit studio sponsored by BikeRadar and plenty more. SBS 2014 will also be bringing back the Bike Track People to create a huge pump track for the kids and big kid visitors.
