New event brought forward to avoid clash with Highland Perthshire Cycling Festival

Scottish Bike Show moves to April 2011

The Scottish Bike Show, pitched as the first consumer bike show in Scotland, has been brought forward a month to avoid a cycle event clash.

Now set to take place from Saturday April 16th to Sunday 17th 2011 at the SECC, the show was originally set for a May launch.

When the show was found to clash with the Highland Perthshire Cycling Festival, event organiser Magdala Media switched the timings.

Rowan Mackie, founder of the Scottish Bike Show explained: "In terms of promoting Scottish cycling, it is important that both events have a clear and defined position within the cycling calendar.

"By bringing the dates forward to April it gives both events the opportunity to form an alliance and potentially work together, which I am sure will happen in the near future."

The Scottish Bike Show is now taking bookings for exhibition space. Contact info@thescottishbikeshow.com or visit www.thescottishbikeshow.com for more information.
