Alpine Bikes signs on as Fort Bill retail partner

Scottish IBD chain becomes MTB World Cup partner

Alpine Bikes is the official retail partner for this summer’s Nissan UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Fort William, 6-8th June.

Last year the event attracted 746 competitors from 47 nations and 40,000 spectators.

Event Director Mike Jardine said: "It’s great to have such an active and dynamic retailer supporting the UK’s premiere bike event."

Alpine Bikes will manage the Alpine Bike Park for spectators who ride to the event, providing on-site servicing support and advice.

Bryan Shedden, General Manager of Alpine Bikes, said: "We are very excited at being official retail partner to such a prestigious event.

"I believe that Alpine Bikes will be able to add real value to the event by lending our own expertise to the competitors through the provision of our mechanics and a bike park.

"Hopefully we will see our own sponsored rider, Fergus Lamb, competing as well."

Alpine Bikes was acquired by the Tiso Group in 2006.
