Northern Ireland firm See.Sense is already more than 500 percent over its original fund-raising target of £30,000 and, by the close of play on Saturday, a month-long crowdfunding campaign for its new ACE lights could reach £180,000 or more.

The ACE light will be smaller and cheaper than the company's existing Icon light.

The Icon currently sells for £64.99 and the brighter Icon+ will see for £79.00 at retail.

The ACE is equipped with ANT+ integration so can be controlled from Garmin EDGE cycle computers. It will also feature new mounting methods, including being clipped to jerseys or backpacks. There will also be an adapter mount for aero seatposts.

The Kickstarter funding is currently at £170,138, which is 560 percent more than the original target.

See.Sense CEO Philip McAleese said: “ACE embodies five years of research and development along with ideas shared by our cycling community. We are passionate about helping the global cycling community and we are particularly excited to work with cities around the world to help shape the future of cycling infrastructure using completely anonymised data from our customers.”

The campaign ends at 4:57pm on Saturday.
