Anke Wilken of Mannheim has a husband obsessed with bikes.
She’s "surrounded by nothing other than bikes, bikers, bike magazines and bike parts" and felt she was fast becoming a bike widow.
To show her husband there’s more to life than bikes, Wilken produced a high-end calendar featuring high-end Trek bikes being fondled by high-end fashion models.
The calendar is in English and measures 40 x 68 cm.
Pre-production samples were shown to pro-cyclists at this year’s Tour de France. They liked what they saw, especially the pro riders listed on the calendar. Thirty have their birthdays printed on the relevant dates, from info supplied by Procycling magazine.
Wilken is now a bike race groupie: "I met Jan Ullrich at a race in Germany. He, Rolf Aldag and Erik Zabel signed one calendar for me. Jan was kind of amused and he said "Very, very nice."

The Cycle Passion calendar retails for 36€/£24. It’s already available from Chainreaction.com but other bike shops will be stocking it soon.
