MD Dawkins: "Each designed for their target market; rather than just a scaled down 20” bike"

Seventies ups juvenile BMX stock with 12, 16 and 18″ Cult completes

Seventies is to take stock of a new line of Cult BMX bikes in late May, designed specifically for younger kids.

The Robbie Morales run brand has taken the step to produce 12, 16 and 18-inch wheeled bikes to encourage kids onto BMX bikes at an early age – going as far as to sponsor some local talent in the US.

Seventies Distribution MD Stuart Dawkins told BikeBiz: "We feel this is branching into a new younger market. All these bikes have alloy frames and are specifically designed for their target market; rather than just a scaled down 20” bike that weighs a tonne! We also feel (optimistically) that it may sway kids from scooters towards BMX."

Each bike carries 25×9 gearing, a sealed rear hub and a three-piece crank with sealed Mid BB.

Stock is expected to land in the UK on May 24th.
