The Vermont bike company - tagline 'for riders by riders' - produces high-end downhill and freeride bikes. Manufactured in the US by Frank Wadelton (aka 'Frank the Welder') of FTW Industries, Sinister has been a frame supplier to date but is now expanding with a line-up of complete bikes.

Sinister wants to go dealer direct in Europe

The company has just moved to a new factory in Rockingham, Vermont, and has ramped up production and will begin to offer complete bikes for 2004. Built around an expanded line of frames, the Sinister build kits will comprise of two different price points, the top of the line Team model and the Privateer model for those not on quite so elevated a budget.

Bill Lazdowski, Sinister’s product manager – and now European sales rep – wants to set up a small and select bunch of top-end European dealers.
