Trade shows are not just there to display new products, they are also for chin-wagging, earwigging and palm-pressing. And they can be educational, too. The Taipei International Cycle Show is to feature seminars from the founder of Specialized, and the president of Euro trade org COLIBI (who also happens to be CEO of Accell, one of the potential bidders for Cannondale)

Sinyard and Takens to give keynote talks at Taipei show

RenĂ© Takens, president of COLIBI and CEO of the Accell Group, Europe’s third largest bicycle producer, formely known as Atag and once the owner of Dawes, will lead a seminar on the European bicycle market on March 30th (10am to 12 noon). The Cannondale auction takes place in mid-March – could Accell be the new owner by the time of Takens’ talk?

Mike Sinyard, president of Specialized Bicycle Inc. will lead a seminar on the American bicycle market on the afternoon of the same day (3pm to 5pm).
