British Cycling's city centre, closed-road Sky Rides will this year feature embedded journalists who will be talking up the rides on social media. Sky Rides are organised with councils to provide a day of traffic free cycling. This is their fifth year of operation.

There are fourteen Sky Rides in the UK and organisers are hoping to boost awareness before and during the events by appointing digital-savvy cyclists to become mobile journalists, or MoJo's.

Sky Ride's Emma Bates said: "The idea is that they go to their local Sky Ride and capture a real flavour of all the exciting happenings on the ground, and share their impressions on social media."

MoJos get "some cool free stuff for their time," added Bates.

Would-be MoJos should contact goskyride@britishcycling.org.uk
