Rich Moore's Hastings firm stocking BMX brand from spring

Snap distribution takes over BSD distribution

Hastings-based Snap distribution will carry BSD BMX components from spring 2011.

Alongside its portfolio of race brands, Twenty and Shitluck brands, Snap will take over distribution of Grant Smith’s BSD line from Zeal.

Smith, who is director at BSD, told BikeBiz: "We are excited about working with Snap, they are a forward thinking company which is service driven. They are about streamlining the distribution process and have invested heavily into online B2B ordering tools, making it as easy as possible for shops to place orders. They are also rider owned, rider run and into supporting the BMX scene in the UK, which fits in with what BSD is about."

Richard Moore, director of Snap Distribution, added: “We are very pleased to be working with BSD, they are one of the most progressive BMX brands in the UK right now. We have been looking to grow Snap and BSD seemed like the perfect fit for our company. It’s also good to be supporting the growth of a UK based brand.”

BSD makes a range of aftermarket BMX parts including frames, bars, seats, hubs, hub guards, sprockets, stems and forks.

As reported on BikeBiz recently, the brand will be supporting the up-coming Scottish Bike Show (April 16th to 17th at Glasgow’s SECC) with a number of demonstrations featuring its sponsored team, which includes the likes of Mike Taylor, Tony Malouf and Kriss Kyle.

The firm is also working with Nike to hold a jam at Dumbarton’s Unit 23 on March 19th.
