Speedplay's pedal museum will be at Interbike

It doesn't sound like the most stimulating museum of all time, but the pedal timeline on Speedplay's website is attracting lots of extra traffic, says Richard Bryne, Speedplay founder, CEO and self-confessed pedal-nut. And Interbike visitors will be able to see Bryne's personal collection of antique pedals, including the ahead-of-its-time Cinelli clipless pedal from 1973.

Select models from the Speedplay pedal museum, which features dozens of bicycle pedals from 1860s to the present, will be a part of Speedplay's booth at Interbike.

The pedal collection, which includes the first commercial clipless pedal, early toe clips and unusual pedals, is owned by Speedplay designer and CEO Richard Bryne who began collecting pedals ten years ago.

"There has been tremendous interest in the pedal museum on our website," said Bryne.

"People are fascinated with the different designs and the anecdotal information included with many of the pedals."
