Car manufacturer teams up with Cycleurope for 2010 re-launch

Spring return to UK for Peugeot Cycles

Peugeot has joined forces with bicycle manufacturer Cycleurope to bring a new range of bicycles to market.

Cycleurope has confirmed to BikeBiz that it will be introducing Peugeot Cycles to the UK this coming spring, and that UK dealers, existing and new are welcome to enquire about the new line-up.

The Peugeot range will include four models: a racing bike, an urban cycle, a mountain bikes and a hybrid – in a men’s and women’s version. The bikes will feature exclusive use of the black and white chequer decoration as a nod to Peugeot team’s historic successes at the Tour de France. New models will be available from September.

The range will be sold through a network of dealers, but on the continent the cycles will also be sold from car dealerships. Cycleurope explained to BikeBiz: “In France Peugeot Cycles will be available through both Cycleurope Dealers and Peugeot Car Dealers as the whole reason that the brand has been re-launched is at the request of Peugeot Cars HQ.

“In the UK the decision as to whether car dealers will have the bikes has not been made yet, one of the main reasons is product knowledge, or lack of, and this would have to be addressed with some specific cycle industry training.

“As with all Cycleurope products it is important that customers get the best advice.”

Interested UK dealers should contact the Cycleurope offices on 01234 245929 to find out more about their plans.
