SRAM's 2010 Force upgrades borrow a lot of design ideas from the successful RED components: unidirectional carbon, wider skeletonized Dual Pivot design brakes and the lighter, stiffer BB30 crankset option.

Somehow, the manufacturer has also managed to knock a significant 352 grams off the BB30 design, meaning the final group weight comes in at an astonishing 1951 grams.

The aluminum parts are now anodized with a sleek ‘zephyr silver’ finish that sharpens the visual package. SRAM Force moves to unidirectional carbon and forged aluminum throughout, which adds strength, decreases weight and provides a better substrate for graphics.

Much of the technology has remianed unchanged, such as SRAM's own DoubleTap, ZeroLoss, and Exact Actuation systems.

The brakes, however, get a significant upgrade with a RED styled skeletonized dual-pivot design featuring spring tension adjust and center adjust. The reach adjust feature also allows the rider to set up a tailored fit.

The components are due to land in the UK this summer.
