Sunshine brings out the crowds at Fort William

Mike Jardine from event organisers Rare Management was well chuffed by the first day of racing:

"It’s been a tremendous day of racing. Both the World Cup Cross Country and 4-Cross

events have attracted thousands of spectators to the Nevis Range and the Scottish weather has really come through for us too!"

Tomorrow sees the downhill race. Steve Peat, on (sort of) home turf, is favourite to win.
