Superbikes lined up for UK Handmade Bicycle Show 2016

April’s UK Handmade Bicycle Show – Bespoked – has a number of ‘superbikes’ lined up to appear at the show, including some pricey frames.

The Baum Ti Coretto retails at £10,500 (including Campag Super Record and ENVE wheels) and features one of the few titanium frames in the world, the brands says, that has every tube butted with an individual rider in mind.

Reilly Cycleworks’ Reilly 600SL Carbon Fibre racing bike has been made by the eponymous Mark Reilly and carbon specialist (and ex- F1) Neil Fitzgerald. The main tubes are completely round, constructed using UD and 3K carbon fibre. It weighs just 695grams for size 47cm and the frame, forks and headset come in at £2,999 (approx £6,799 for a complete bike).

Colourbolt’s Maximum Black comes with ENVE wheelset and forks, Tip welded for lightness and built with Columbus Max tubing for stiffness. It comes in at around £4,000.

Bespoked 2015 award winner Matthew Sowter of Saffron Frameworks will be at Bespoked again this year and will build a custom steel frame using Reynolds 953 tubing for just under £2,000. Craddock’s custom carbon fibre frames will be at the show too. The firm makes custom frames in-house at the Craddock composites workshop in Worcestershire, with full custom geom frame with fork, two colour paint scheme, Hope headset and seat clamp at £2,680.

And it’s not just frames and bikes at the show, with the likes of Busyman Bicycles’ bespoke handmade leather saddles and bar tape, the saddles made from kangaroo leather and car tape from cowhide. The saddles start around £180.

Bespoked takes place at Brunel’s Old Station, Bristol BS1 6QH

It starts Friday 15th April for a press preview before 2am, then the public can get it. It then runs over Saturday 16th and 17th.
