Grant Sinclair has confirmed that thanks to a new deal with the airless tyre brand, the IRIS eTrike will be equipped with one 26 inch Tannus rear wheel and two 20 inch front wheels.
Tannus European managing director Jazz Walia said: “It is fantastic to be able to work with Grant and the IRIS eTrike. It’s a great marriage of two highly innovative products which are challenging conventional wisdom to improve travel in the 21st Century.”
The IRIS has 8-speed race bike gearing, together with a 250 watt pedal assist motor – more powerful versions are availavle for other territories – and is capable of achieving 30 mph. It has a lithium battery which will run for 30 miles and can be fully charged in one hour.
Grant Sinclair added: “We have looked at a number of tyre options and Tannus offer the best solution for the IRIS. Tannus are like us – we are both working to break down conventional barriers and offer a positive future through innovative and ecological consumer products.”
