Co-sponsorship deal inked with Santa Cruz Bikes in the UK

Team Syncros Endurance formed from Extreme Endurance

UK endurance outfit Extreme Endurance has just announced new sponsors and a change of team name for 2010.

The team, which was started by ultra-endurance athlete Rob Lee in 2004 and has been at the forefront of endurance mountain biking in the UK ever since, will race under the banner of Team Syncros Endurance after securing a title sponsorship deal with the component manufacturer and a co-sponsorship deal with Santa Cruz Bikes in the UK.

Team owner and racer Rob Lee said: "It feels good to have the backing of these two companies that really get what we do. Santa Cruz were involved when I started the team and to have them back in the mix is awesome. Syncros makes some amazing high-end products that any racer would be envious of. That backing, mixed with our team, can only mean fireworks when the major races start."

Jungle Products main man Dickon Hepworth was instrumental in the deal and had this to say: “When we were looking for a high profile endurance team to promote the Syncros range, it made perfect sense for us to tie up with Rob and Extreme Endurance. They have all the bases covered when it comes to 12hr, 24hr, Solo and Endurance racing – plus their media coverage is unrivalled. We are really excited about the tie in with Syncros and can’t wait for the 2010 season to start. Plus of course the fact they will be riding Syncros equipped Santa Cruz Blur XC carbon bikes – they will be tough to beat!”
