Technogym has launched a new turbo trainer titled the MYCYCLING.

The unit combines a high-tech smart trainer with a native app with personalised programmes and a network of professional coaches to guide the user and develop tailor made training programs.

MYCYCLING is designed to offer maximum stability during training. The heart of the product is the electro-mechanical brake that controls the rider's movements. The unit also features a torque sensor, which is able to directly measure the user's power with a precision tolerance of +/- one per cent. Optical sensors analyse the thrust at all times and allow the user to visualise the smooth circular pedalling stroke as well as the symmetry between the left and right foot. The fly-wheel has been designed to ensure a natural pedalling sensation

The dedicated app encompasses tests, programmes, personalisation, routes and bio-feedback. The user is able to control the unit with a handlebar-mounted smartphone connected to the unit via a Bluetooth connection. The MYCYCLING app can also be connected to Garmin and Strava accounts.

The unit also includes a specific training system dedicated to cyclists called TNT, which is a collaboration between Technogym’s medical and scientific research centre and a range of athletes, coaches, physiologists and sports trainers. TNT aims to enhance metabolic and neuromuscular characteristics to improve outdoor performance.
