Tesco goes hyper with bikes

The existing Extra hypermarkets stock bikes on a when theyre gone, theyre gone ad hoc basis but the new trial will see bikes brought in as stock items.

RetailWeek quotes Christine Cross, world non-food buyer at Tesco, saying:

We want to develop a global store blueprint and plan to accelerate our non-food roll-out.

Tesco aims to double its share of the non-food markert to 6 percent within four years.
