Cycling Scotland has produced a 12-page booklet on getting back into shape by cycling. It is aimed at occassional or returning cyclists who might be hoping to complete a charity ride, cycling holiday or simply lose weight.

The booklet - available in print form or as download - was produced thanks to assistance from the Earl Haig Fund.

"Bike Boost- Building fitness through cycling" contains three eight-week training plans for differing levels of ability as well as advice on bike set-up and healthy eating.

"It is an ideal resource for charity ride organisers, local authorities or anyone else who wants to encourage people to get the most out of their cycling," said Cycling Scotland's Michael Addiscott.
