Training dates announced by CoBR

The two training regimes set up by CoBR can now be booked.
Publish date:

CoBR has released the first three dates for their Cycle Maintenance and Repair Course at Aylesbury College: October 18-29; November 8-19 and December 6-17.

Thereafter they will be run monthly with dates to be finalised, says CoBrs Laurie Sedman. The dates for the Retail Sales/Customer Care Courses have also been set: 20 October, Midlands; and 1 November, North England.

Sedman is keen to release news that discussions have just concluded which link the CoBR Cycle Maintenance Course directly to the EMTA NVQ Level 2 Cycle Maintenance Accreditation.

Delegates who have completed the CoBR course, or appropriate modules, can then go on to be assessed for the NVQ level 2 Cycle Maintenance Accreditaion via a fast-track method called Approved Prior Learning (APL). Negotiations have just concluded which mean that mechanics from CoBR Members stores can take the full two week course and then be assessed for the NVQ for less than three hundred quid!

APL is also available for mechanics. This involves one days

assessment and a 10 week registration period after which, if all is well the NVQ is awarded.
