Trek joins Giant in bike-buying, tax-saving discount scheme

All the Trek marques - Gary Fisher, Klein, Lemond and Trek – will be participating in the Green Transport Plan tax-saving scheme that's run by employers and enables employees to spend twice as much on their bikes for no extra expense. More brands will no doubt join soon...

The scheme - details in the link below - aims to get commuters out of their cars and on to bikes by offering tax incentives which can provide a saving of up to 50 percent on the price of new bicycles.

Trek’s Nigel Roberts said:

“This is a great way to encourage cycle usage in the UK. By joining Giant in supporting an IBD scheme we will be providing Booost with a broad network of IBDs nationwide. IBDs are where consumers will find the service, knowledge and choice of branded products that lead to a quality cycling experience, essential for the scheme to work long term.”
