Tri UK has praised the industry and wider cycling world for its efforts to raise awareness of a massive £250,000 theft of top-end bikes.
Alison Boon, partner at Tri UK told BikeBiz: "Tri UK would like to thank everyone who have given them support, help, advise and info via social media and via direct emails and phone calls to them. Support and communications have come from customers, general public, exhibitors at the show and other triathlon and bike stores.
"After being in the triathlon industry for over 21 years, the sheer response and goodwill being sent to Tri UK has overwhelmed us. All leads are being passed over to the Police and Tri UK are still hoping some of these bikes will show up – especially the more rare ones.
"Tri UK has always known that the triathlon and cycle industry and sport is full of wonderful people – but the past 24 hours has reminded us once again just how great our industry and sport really is. So thank you Bike Biz for being so prompt in spreading the word – and thank you to all readers and followers for spreading the word far and wide."
A reward of up to £100,000 is being offered by TRI UK for information that leads to the recovery of all of their stock. The registration numbers for the two Ford Transit Luton Box vans stolen are DY12 FJF and DV61 DJE.
