UCI hands time trialists greater saddle flexibility

Small change to regulations allows a far greater degree of tilt and longer length

The UCI has significantly relaxed its stance on saddle positioning, allowing time trialists to now utilise a saddle tilt of up to nine degrees, with a 1mm margin for error.

Previously the rule stated that riders should ensure that saddles tilt no more than 2.5 degrees with a 0.5 degree margin for error. The new rule means that, as of January 1st, saddles can potentially tilt downwards up to 10 degrees.

Furthermore, the maximum 300mm length has now been allowed a further 5mm.
