Precision sprocket manufacturer is 'only manufacturer, Shimano aside, to produce forged shifting rings.'

Upgrade strikes distro deal with Praxis

Upgrade has inked an exclusive UK distribution deal with precision sprocket manufacturer Praxis.

Run by industry veterans David Earle and Ardy Chen, the firm boasts to be the only manufacturer, aside from Shimano, able to create forged shifting rings. A very close association with Dragon Technology Manufacturing in Taiwan allows for exclusive metal forming techniques to be used – ultimately creating some of the most accurate tooth profiling and long wearing sprockets in the business.

With offices in Santa Cruz County and Taiwan, Praxis’ purpose is to enable OEM customers of any size to enter the drivetrain market without the heavy engineering investment and focus on manufacturing that is typically required.

Launching as a standalone brand at last year’s Interbike, the product range currently includes road, MTB and cross rings, as well as a BB converter and BB sets.
