"Our direct selling model has really now exceeded its capacity," says brand

Van Dessel now working with independent retail partners

Van Dessel has announced that it is now seeking ambitious retail partners to stock the brand in the UK.

Online-only since 2010, the brand has a strong following, particularly in the cyclocross world where it supports a number of top-ranking US racers.

On the back of a 2014 investment, which allowed its US owner, Edwin Bull, the ability to update the portfolio to include road and mountain bikes, the label is now keen to build its presence alongside specialist retailers.

David Warren owner of Bearded Man, the UK agent for the brand, said: “We have always been fully invested in Van Dessel and excited to work with the brand since we first came across them in 2010. Our direct selling model has really now exceeded its capacity and we feel that with the right retail partners we can further this premium brand and establish its reputation across all cycling disciplines. We are a small distribution company looking to work with independent outlets and can really work closely with them offering a unique and hopefully ‘manageable’ way of getting Van Dessel bikes into stores.”

Van Dessel’s range now consists of eight models, which includes a carbon disc road frame and a steel multi purpose gravel bike. There are now also two American designed and built models extending the brands authenticity and desire to offer a premium range product.
