Figures released by Hitwise place online cycle retailer Wiggle as the country’s most visited bicycle website during the first half of 2009.
Wiggle has now won the Hitwise accolade every year since 2006.
Not content with winning Hitwise’s Cycle Industry award, Wiggle was also ranked fifth overall in the sports and fitness industry sector.
Dean Maskell, Wiggle’s online marketing manager, said: “It is absolutely fantastic news that Wiggle has won this award once again. A huge amount of work has gone into our website – and there is still much more to come. Awards like this are great recognition of all the work that goes on behind the scenes, providing the customer with the reassurance that they are shopping with a true market leader.”
He added: “Congratulations to all of our team and, most importantly, huge thanks to all of our customers.”
Earlier this year, the website won its fifth consecutive Best Mail Order Company award from 220 Triathlon Magazine and Which? Magazine also named us as the UK’s Top Sports and Leisure Site.
