Since taking on distribution for Giro, Bell, Easton and Blackburn, Zyro has put a team into place to handle the brands.
The team is headed up by brand director Friedrich Schnoor. With over 14 year’s industry experience in British, German and Dutch companies, Schnoor previously worked for Zyro as senior brand manager.
Schnoor said: "It is a great opportunity to look after such fantastic brands, with a host of new products to be launched for 2014 and a strong brand management and sales team in place, this is the start of a new era for the Easton Bell Sports brands in the UK and Ireland."
Working with Schnoor are brand managers Stuart Hayes and Ed Denwood, both with lengthy industry and brand experience.
Stuart Hayes has worked for distribution companies covering the cycle, outdoor and snow sports markets. With diverse experience, from selling, training, brand management and marketing, Hayes has always worked closely with retailers to ensure the brands he represents are communicated effectively to consumers. With in-depth knowledge of the sports footwear market from his time with Superfeet and expertise in the cycle industry from his recent position developing Bern as an urban cycling brand in the UK, Hayes is well equipped to develop Giro Shoes & Apparel and Easton within the UK and Ireland.
Ed Denwood was responsible for the Giro, Bell and Blackburn brands from 2003 to 2010, working his way up to Senior Brand Manger. After three years working for himself, outside the cycle industry, Denwood decided the draw of working with such respected brands as Giro, Bell and Blackburn for the second time was just too much to resist. With such valuable experience in cycle retail and distribution, and his understanding of how the cycle industry operates, as well as his own passion for cycling, Denwood can clearly see how much potential there is for the Giro, Bell and Blackburn brands. Denwood commented: "I’m very happy and excited to be part of the team at Zyro working with the Easton Bell Sports brands again."
