Zyro sales rocket 26 per cent

Firm expects to grow sales in excess of £50 million in next three to four years
Publish date:

Thirsk-based distributor Zyro has reported a sales increase of 26 per cent to £27.75 million, in its financial year ending August 31st 2010.

The firm told BikeBiz that it saw record monthly sales in August, with growth across many of its brands. Zyro cited the continued increase in the popularity of cycling – and growing awareness of environmental, congestion and health benefits of cycling – as major factors behind the strong performance.

The 2009 BikeBiz award winner, and 2010 BikeBiz award nominee, is planning to expand its warehouse capacity to in excess of 100,000 sq ft. That increased size is set to serve Zyro's ambitions to grow sales to in excess of £50 million over the next three to four years.

MD Julie Ellison said that the firm has increased its workforce by 25 per cent in the last year to 110 and predicts growth and market share to increase in 2011.
