Car hits Sheffield bike shop

Being located on a main road running into a town is usually an ideal spot for a bike shop, but there have been some negative consequences for Sheffield retailer JE James.

Local paper The Star reports that JE James’ Bramall Lane store has been hit by a car, for the tenth time in eight years.

This time a car hit during the early hours, damaging shutters and signs. The worst incident came in 2006 when a car actually crashed inside the store.

Despite the retailer’s pleas, the council appears reluctant to introduce traffic calming measures. Read the full story here.
