Four fresh faces added at newly opened 9,000 sq ft showroom

All Terrain Cycles Wetherby opening boosts local jobs

Just weeks after the opening of the region’s largest cycling megastore in Wetherby, All Terrain Cycles has recruited four new members of staff to meet demand at the new business.

The six-strong team at the 9,000sq ft Wetherby showroom now includes Jason Drew, Tom Bentley and Daniel Taylor in its sales team; plus mechanic Andrew Johnson who will assist workshop manager Joe Belt.

Jason has ten years’ experience in sales and mechanics while Tom is a keen cyclist with retail and distribution experience. Andrew is a trike enthusiast with ten years’ experience, including working in New Zealand, and is a specialist in touring and road bikes wheel building. Daniel is a keen mountain bike rider as well as having retail experience in the cycle trade.

The complete transformation of the two storey retail unit on Audby Lane on the outskirts of the town, close to the A1, follows a ÂŁ1m investment. The modern showroom stocks over 1,000 mountain, road and BMX bikes, plus clothing and accessories. It also features a workshop staffed by trained technicians able to carry out repairs and servicing.

Originally established in 1907, the growth of the ÂŁ3m turnover business is based on the success of its well-known retail outlet at Salts Mill, Saltaire in Shipley, as well as a thriving online business.
