Liz Clarke in the race for Outstanding Woman in Business category

BikeRight MD nominated for E3 business award

BikeRight! MD Liz Clarke is in the running for the E3 Business Awards ‘Outstanding Women in Business Award’.

Having built BikeRight! without financial backing from concept to £2.4m turnover in 10 years, Clarke now commands an 87 strong workforce who carry out local authority contracts nationwide to deliver BikeAbility training.

Having won the Northwest Women in Business Awards in 2009 BikeRight! gained more exposure and Liz continued to champion women in cycling, with women representing 70 per cent of BikeRight!’s adult trainees.

In the last five years, Liz has transformed BikeRight! into a profitable national company operating in five locations, and is poised to start exporting licensed products. An order for Portugal is well-advanced, regular repeat orders for Eurocamp (France and Spain) and the Irish government, and BikeRight! Instructor Training courses have attracted attendees from Dubai, Hong Kong, Borneo and several EU countries.

Responding to her nomination, Liz Clarke said "I am delighted to be a finalist in these prestigious awards and look forward to an evening of celebrations with the other companies who bring employment, skills and training to the North West”.

The E3 Business Awards take place on Thursday 18th September, 2014.
