ECRM acquires US PressCamp

Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing has today announced its acquisition of the US-based Press Camp, an annual event where press meet manufacturers exclusively.

As part of the acquisition, Lifeboat Events founder Lance Camisasca will join ECRM as VP of Sports, a newly created role at the company where he will lead sales and marketing efforts for all future PressCamp events. Additionally, Chad Battistone of Lifeboat Events will assist the ECRM Sports team as an Operations Manager.

"The success PressCamp events have demonstrated in the cycling industry makes it an ideal addition to the existing events platform of ECRM and meets our objective to develop an enhanced events portfolio in vertical markets," said Greg Farrar, CEO, ECRM.

"This is about growing and serving our customers better. It’s about taking the opportunity to enter into markets that we don’t currently serve."

Camisasca, who has 35 years experience in the cycling industry, founded Press Camp in 2008 following his departure from the helm of Interbike.

"This is a big day for Lifeboat Events. We knew finding a strategic buyer for PressCamp would be paramount in assuring we could continue to create meaningful and strong events going forward," said Camisasca.
