Firm shows off first fully-toroidal aluminium rim, Super-9 Disc and RZR at show

EUROBIKE 2009: Zipp Speed Weaponry reveals three new products

Zipp Speed Weaponry is launching three new products at Eurobike today.

According to the firm, the 101 is the world’s first fully-toroidal aluminium rim. The wheelset is as aerodynamic as many deeper section carbon rims and weighs less that 1,500 grams.

Also up from the firm is the Super-9 Disc. At 27.5mm wide the Super-9 fits the tightest of chainstays, while the wider 23mm tyre bed accommodates wider tyres ‘with minimal aero penalty’. Weighing a mere 975 grams, the Super-9 is the stiffest Zipp disc yet and is ideal for time trials and track racing, said the firm.

Meanwhile the RZR is the manufacturers first shifting product. Appearing earlier in the year at the Tour de France, the RZR provides top notch aerodynamics and ergonomics and allows the shift lever to return to centre with each shift.

The firm is at Eurobike at booth A3-201.
