We've plenty of Eurobike coverage in our October magazine, but in the meantime here are some bits and pieces making their way over from Friedrichshafen.

While we already know yesterday's Eurobike Demo Day was the largest yet, the organisers have now revealed the final trade visitor numbers for the newly relocated testing day: 2,642 trade visitors turned up compared with 2,318 in 2013.

784 journalists were among the numbers testing out new kit in Friedrichshafen.

As well as looking at (and testing) lots of new shiny bike bits, Eurobike is also chance for those in the trade to compare notes. The German Bicycle Industry Association (ZIV) has recorded increased sales in the first half of 2014, compared with H1 2013 - up four per cent to 2.8 million bicycle and e-bike units. With the association pointing to the mild winter and sunshine-strewn spring and summer, there's every chance it is a similar story for the UK bike trade.

Magura's eLECT tech - where suspension from the front and rear of the bike shares information wirelessly, synchronising with each other - has gained some admiring glances.

Eurobike has also had its fair share of unusual sights on day one:
