It will take place on 14th November in Milan

The first-ever UCI Bike City Forum will take place next week at the Milan headquarters of Pirelli.

It will bring together bike and mobility experts, as well as UCI partners, on 14th November.

Following welcoming addresses from UCI president David Lappartient, the city of Milan and Pirelli, participants will have a chance to debate the challenges and opportunities related to cycling and active mobility.

The keynote address will be delivered by Pascal Smet, Brussels minister for mobility and public works, who will outline his work to advance cycling in the Belgian capital.

The key themes presented during the forum are the UCI landscape in cycling promotion, cycling infrastructures, exporting cycling expertise, promoting public health and physical activity through cycling, and the role of cycling in sustainable development.

Alongside urban planners Brian Deegan and Manuel Calvo, speakers from the Cycling Embassy of Denmark, the Dutch Cycling Embassy, the European Cyclists’ Federation, the International Sport and Culture Association, Rome Mobility Agency, World Bicycle Relief, UN-Habitat and C40 Cities Finance Facility will also address the Forum.

Tim Blumenthal, the president of PeopleForBikes, will give the final address.
