First Welsh Cycle Show opens tomorrow

Trade can attend for free with proof of business links on the door

The Welsh Cycle Show opens its doors for the first time at 10am this Saturday and Sunday, welcoming some of the biggest names in cycling to the Wales National Velodrome in Newport.

Since announcing show's launch last Autumn, the organisers have been inundated with trade enquiries and consumer interest. Brands attending the show including the likes of Bianchi, Condor, Dawes, Wilier, Whyte, Sabbath, Velocite, Fondriest, Ceepo, Paulus Quiros, De Rosa and Mekk, among others. Demo bikes will also be available from Bianchi, Mekk, Pyga, Airsreem, Roux, Frog Bikes and Kinesis.

Accessory brands such as Craft, Primal Wear, Scimitar, High 5, Continental, Schwalbe, Rotor, Juice Lubes, Kask, BG Innovations and many more add to the line up.

There will be a seminar programme including a women's forum and women's only ride on Sunday, run by Cardiff Ajax. Welsh Cycling, Wales Air Ambulance and various Welsh tourism related companies will also be in attendance.

Paralympic Champion Mark Colbourne MBE and Simon Richardson will be there to answer any questions you may have, while BMX legend, Matti Hemmings will be putting on his unique skills display accompanied by a mini exhibition of historic BMX bikes.

MIAS will be giving MTB skills advice on an outdoor skills track and discussing how to become an MTB leader, while the Scott MTB Marathon organisers will be on hand to help attendees put those skills to good use at their events.

Show entry is priced at £10 for adults and £5 for U16s and OAPs, with plenty of parking on site. Trade visitors are welcomed with free entry upon presenting proof of business name and type.
