Garmin to launch Edge 200 and Vector at Eurobike

The trade will gets it first chance to get hold of Garmin’s brand new Edge 200 and Vector at Friedrichshafen-set Eurobike in a few weeks time.

Edge 200 GPS enabled cycling computer is lightweight and features a high sensitivity GPS receiver (with HotFix satellite prediction) to record distance, time, speed and the path travelled. It can be switched quickly and easily between bikes and is fit for all types of weather, Garmin said.

Expected to be available for retail in Q3 2011, the Edge 200’s SRP will be £129.99.

The Vector lightweight direct measurement power meter (pictured below) is the lightest on the market according to Garmin. Designed for quick installation, portability and ease-of-use, the Vector measures and presents right and left leg power balance to ANT+ compatible head units. Vector is actually debuting at this weekend’s Ausbike, then moving on to Eurobike and then Interbike.

The industry will have to wait until March 2012 to retail Vector, which will have an SRP of ÂŁ1,149.
