Gravel bikes heading to Cycle Show 2015

Growing phenomenon heading to the NEC later this month

There are few things the bicycle market loves more than to coin a new genre of bike and one of the more recent - gravel bikes - is going to be featuring in this year's Cycle Show, taking place at Birmingham's NEC from Thursday September 24th to 27th (24th is exclusive trade and press day).

Here's a look at some of the gravel bikes you can expect to see up in Brum in a few weeks time:

GT Grade Ultegra £2209.99
The MTB focused manufacturer introduced the Grade this year, a ‘non-conforming’ adventure bike with a rear triangle under the saddle to provide more comfort for off-road sections.



Raleigh Mustang Elite £1,000
Raleigh introduce the Mustang this year, featuring SRAM’s 1x groupset, offering plenty of gears with only a single chainring on the front. The Mustang will be on show for the first time at this year’s Cycle Show.

Canyon Inflite AL 9.0 S £1,449
Canyon’s cyclo-cross range goes adventure-focused with 28mm wide Continental GP4000S tyres, Shimano’s hydraulic disc brakes and semi compact gearing making this a versatile bike.

Salsa Warbird £1999 (frame only)
Gravel racing’s leading proponent, Salsa, have been developing the Warbird for three years. The new Warbird features the Class 5 Vibration Reduction System, specially shaped seatstays with a tall, thin, vertically oriented profile.

Genesis Croix de Fer Decade £1,499
Genesis celebrates its ten year anniversary this year and has created the versatile Genesis Crois de Fer Decade to celebrating, featuring SRAM’s 1x single chainring groupset as well as relaxed geometry, hydraulic disc brakes and extra tyre clearance.

The Cycle Show has been runing since 2002 and has welcomed over 300,000 visitors since its launch. This year the show, which will be held at the NEC between 25th & 27th September, will host around 280 exhibitors from the cycling world.
