After a busy 2016 in which Cycle Republic opened multiple new locations, the company has announced that it will open a new shop in Brunswick Place, Southampton. Six new colleagues are now being sought to take over various positions in the new store, which will open its doors on March 17th 2017.

Bike builder
Every day will offer variety as the successful applicant take responsibility for all elements of the success of the stores repair and service offer – basically helping run their own smaller business within the store. This is a varied role ideal for an enthusiastic individual who works well in a team and enjoys the demands of a busy company. Responsibilities will include bike building, PDI and repairs. Cycle mechanic
This is a varied role, which is ideal for an enthusiastic individual who works well in a team and enjoys the demands of a busy company. Responsibilities will include bike building, PDI and repairs. Good IT and communication skills are essential. The perfect candidate will have previous experience within the cycle industry, have a passion for all types of cycles, ideally have either Cytech or NVQ Cycle Maintenance level two accreditation and be happy repairing and servicing all types of bikes as well as helping customers understand the benefits of cycle maintenance and servicing. Workshop manager
The chosen Cycle Republic workshop manager will be responsible for driving efficiency and profit improvements by leading their workshop team to deliver optimum levels of service to all cyclists. The candidate will be responsible for running an efficient workshop that exceeds customer needs through effective planning in addition to continual training and development of the team. Day to day the manager will be accountable for reporting, assisting with targeting, costs, loss prevention, workshop processes and systems. Duty manager
The chosen candidate will be eager to help Cycle Republic customers and personally deliver excellent service. They will be confident enough to look for opportunities to offer all Cycle Republic services, products and add on sales. They will have a passion for selling, inspiring and enabling people to get more joy from cycling. It’s a busy job with plenty of variety and chances to learn new things. Customer service advisor
The ideal candidate will want to help Cycle Republic customers and personally deliver excellent service. They will be confident enough to look for opportunities to offer all Cycle Republic services, products and add on sales. They will have a passion for selling, inspiring and enabling people to get more joy from cycling. The individual will need to be enthusiastic, talkative and inquisitive about Cycle Republic products and the people that buy them. Assistant manager
This role is crucial as it covers a broad remit that includes raising Cycle Republic’s level of exceptional customer service, sales floor management and planning day to day duties to ensure the shop delivers excellent repair services. It also includes assisting all customers in order to achieve weekly store targets. The candidate will contribute to promotions, maintaining store standards and processes, whilst developing the technical capabilities, product knowledge and skills of their colleagues. Assistant managers also run the store in the absence of the store manager. This means they are basically running their own business and will be accountable for the success of the store whilst the company prepares them for the day when they may be ready to run their own store.
