Publishing director of cycling portfolio - including Cycling Weekly - moves onto

Keith Foster to leave Time Inc after 35 years

Keith Foster, publishing director of the Time Inc UK (formerly IPC) Cycling portfolio, is to leave the company at the end of January after a career spanning 35 years.

A further announcement regarding the future management of the media firm’s Cycling group will be made in due course. Time Inc’s cycling brands include Cycling Weekly, Cycling Active, Cycle Sport, Mountain Bike Rider, Tour and UK sportive event organiser, UK Cycling Events (UKCE).

Oswin Grady, managing director, Specialist said: "Keith has been pivotal in shaping our cycling group and positioning it for future growth. His track record speaks for itself: as publishing director for the last 15 years, he’s been responsible for expanding our print portfolio to four titles, as well as numerous one-shots; the successful sportive events business he launched culminated in last year’s acquisition of UK Cycling Events; and he has skilfully led the Cycling Weekly editorial team in maintaining the iconic brand’s unique position in print while driving impressive digital growth. Keith’s huge knowledge of the cycling market is simply unrivalled and on behalf of all his Specialist colleagues, I wish him the very best with his future plans."

Foster said: "I’ve had a wonderful career on the cycling titles during which I’ve always been privileged to work with some incredibly talented people, all with a real passion for their sport. I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve achieved together. However, with the sector experiencing an ongoing period of growth, there has never been a better time for me to utilise both my experience and industry contacts in exploring potential new commerce and events opportunities opening up in the cycling market."

Foster told BikeBiz: "I’d like to pass on my sincere best wishes and regards to all those very, very many wonderful people in the trade and sport who I have had the absolute pleasure and privilege of meeting and working with throughout."
