Momentum Electric comes to the electric bike market with two models

Momentum Electric made its UK debut at the London Bike Show, showing off two models on its booth and at the test track. The bikes, the Model T and Upstart, both retail at £1,095 and were launched at Eurobike last summer.

The bikes are being sold online at present, though Momentum is looking for retailers to link with.

Singapore designer Ying-Tsao Tan founded the brand, partnered with Andreas Torpsch, an engineer specialising in electric bikes.

The matt black diamond framed Upstart uses an AUTORQ sensor, taking into account the rider’s power and adding the motor’s power accordingly. The Model T is a more relaxed bike with an upright riding position, wider handlebar and SRAM Automatix two-speed hub that shifts gear automatically.

Both the Model T and the Upstart have a 35-mile average range, two-year warranty and simple control.
