Moore Large has given BikeBiz an early look at the brands it is bringing to Cycle Show, Earls Court, this week.

The new 2010 portfolio of Italian-handcrafted Basso bikes will be launched at the event, including flagship Basso Diamante – rated as best new 2010 product by German-mag ‘Tour’ at Eurobike. According to Moore Large: “As Basso exposure in the UK has continually increased since its first full commercial season in 2009 we now have some of the most competitive prices on the market starting from £949, in addition with every single model still crafted in house at the Vicenza headquarters Basso offer untouchable aesthetics.”

Moore Large will also display BlackJack wheelsets – a new addition to the firm’s portfolio. The Portugal-based company specialises in aluminium extrusion, offering a wide range of mid to high-end level wheelsets in the road, cross-country, freeride and downhill sectors. Assembled using Formula hubs and offering a large choice of sleeved, pinned or welded rims, the hand-finished range has something for every rider.

The Limar Pro 104 – claimed to be the world’s lightest helmet – will also be on hand at the Moore Large stand. The 2010 version of the helmet has shaved its weight still further to 170g (from 180g) and promises that despite its lightweight load it is still fully featured with the manufacturer’s signature bug guard mesh for the front air vents and a dial adjustment for fitting the helmet around the riders skull base. The Pro 104 also features a chin strap pad and a plenty of interior padding.

Quirky brand Knog’s Frog lights will brighten the Moore Large stand further, as will its no-nonsense cycle computers. The winner of 13 design awards, eight of which were bagged in Europe, Knog will show its 2010 ranges including the 0.5 watt front and rear boomer and the seven, 12 and 20-function mini tools.

Product testers and the public will have the chance to sample Lake’s custom-fit CX401 shoes at Earls Court. Also up from Lake will be its new road, MTB and triathlon shoes. The CX401 custom-fit carbon fibre shoes are priced at £299.99 RRP.

Aside from the line-up at the Moore Large stand – located at C17 - Haro will be showing its 2010 BMXs in the arena section of Earls Court.
