Former event commentator Sebastian Hejna takes reigns of BMX magazine

New editor for Factory Media’s Ride UK

Factory Media has appointed Sebastian Hejna to the role of editor on BMX title Ride UK.

Hejna, a former event commentator, replaces Ian Gunner who is now the creative director at the publisher.

Hejna said of his new role: "Over the years I have continuously read Ride UK and have seen its, and the industry’s, many transformations. I managed to turn my knowledge and love of the industry to the less arduous and dangerous task of hosting and MCing at sports and music events, including some time presenting for the Extreme Sports Channel. Commenting on riders over the years has left me with the ability and willingness to stay happily perched on the fence across the many trends and disciplines of BMX, trying to understand and consider all points of view, while sharing my opinion too.

"I hope this continued involvement in the industry will help me successfully take on the position of Ride UK editor."

Over the years, I continuously read Ride UK BMX and have seen its, and the industries, many transformations and can say I have proudly remained loyal to both throughout. I managed to turn my knowledge and love of the industry to the less arduous and dangerous task of hosting/MC’ing at sports and music events including some time presenting with the Extreme Sports Channel.
