Overseas exhibitors also up for this year's Vegas show

Record number of new companies to exhibit at Interbike 2012

More than 250 new exhibitors will be at Las Vegas’ Interbike this September, a 20 per cent increase compared to 2011, say the show organisers.

In response a new section of the show – The Lab – is being expanded weeks before the show begins. The Lab is an interactive area featuring cutting edge and innovative products on the street level of the show.

Exhibitors from outside the US has reached a high too. New companies from China, Germany, Taiwan and Italy have made up a ten per cent increase in international exhibitors compared to 2011.

The Lab has even attracted non cycle-specific big brands like Sony and Teva to the show for the first time.

“Our sales team has been inundated with calls recently from companies – large and small – to exhibit at Interbike,” said Pat Hus, Interbike MD. We’ve clearly created a lot of buzz out in the marketplace and when you combine that with last year’s momentum, it makes sense that these companies want access to our audience. Where else can you go and reach this many retail buyers in such a short window of time?”

According to the show organiser, numbers of US shops heading to the show are up too, with 25 more registered than last year, including from the East Coast.
