RoadCyclingUK promotes George Scott to Editor role

Scott promoted as site traffic grows and RCUK branches out into print with coffee table title

George Scott has been appointed editor of RoadCyclingUK, stepping up from the assistant editor role. 

Scott joined the team in 2010 and has been playing a key role in the growth of the website. The passionate cyclist recently edited RoadCyclingUK's first foray into print, the RCUK100 - a guide to the top 100 products for 2015, which is published today (Thursday October 30. The 180-page, one-shot coffee table magazine, which will be on sale for three months, showcasing the best bikes, wheels and tyres, components, apparel, finishing kit and accessories for the forthcoming year.

Scott is now charged with shaping the editorial vision for RoadCyclingUK, retaining its focus on the mid to high end of the market, with a goal to "cement RCUK's position as the go-to online destination for performance road cycling, delivering a mix of reviews, buyer's guides and tech features, alongside expert coaching, sportive and maintenance advice".

Factory Media's Bikes Publisher Ben Cope said: "George has an exciting content plan for 2015 which involves the arduous task of travelling around Europe riding some of the best bikes and roads on offer. RCUK's traffic has almost doubled in size during 2014 and we expect nothing less in 2015.
