Ian Cleverly and Timothy John take on the roles

Rouleur appoints editors for mag and site

Rouleur publisher Gruppo Media has strengthened the Rouleur editorial team with two appointments.

Ian Cleverly has been promoted to Editor of Rouleur magazine with immediate effect, while Timothy John will be the first full-time editor of Rouleur.cc. John joins from Factory Media’s RoadCyclingUK.com in early October 2014.

Bruce Sandell, Gruppo Media MD, said: “I am delighted to announce these two appointments – promoting Ian to the Editor of Rouleur magazine is a reflection of the tremendous job he has done since joining us and his fresh vision for the future of the magazine.

"Tim will be our first full-time Editor of Rouleur.cc and continues our investment and commitment to growing the digital side of our business. Tim has done a great job at RoadCyclingUK.com and we are very pleased to welcome him to our team. The re-launch of the website last October has brought Rouleur’s insight, expertise and quality to an online audience. It has already seen significant traffic growth and display ad click-through rates that rank amongst the very best in the industry.”

New Rouleur Editor Ian Cleverly said: “I am delighted and honoured to take on the role of Editor. It has been my absolute pleasure to work on this unique and highly-respected publication for the past four years and I relish the challenge of moving it forward in the future.”

Timothy John, new Rouleur.cc Editor says, “Rouleur is synonymous with quality and is the most respected of all cycling titles. I very much look forward to joining the team and bringing my passion for the sport to Rouleur.cc.”

Cleverly has worked on Rouleur magazine for four years, most recently as Managing Editor, and now takes over the Editorship of Rouleur with immediate effect. Previously, Ian worked at Cycling Weekly.

John joins from Factory Media’s RoadCyclingUK.com where he is Managing Editor. Since his appointment in January 2012, he has had great success – in recognition, Tim was voted Factory Media Editor of the Year at the end of 2013.
