Tim Krueger, formerly product manager of Salsa Cycles, has joined Bikerumor. He was with Salsa for six years.

Krueger grew the Salsa brand by expanding the line into categories like gravel and adventure bikes, introduced front and rear suspension to fat bikes and brought in Dave Weagle’s expertise to use the Split Pivot design. Prior to Salsa, he worked in bike shops to put himself through college, then spent seven seasons managing a bike touring company and managed New Moon bike shop in Hayward, WI.

He joins Bikerumor as a full-time writer for the site.

"Bikerumor was already my go-to morning reading to find out what was new in the world of cycling products every day,” said Krueger.

“I wanted to flip my role in the industry and find a new way to promote cycling, and Bikerumor’s global readership means our information has power and reaches cyclists everywhere."

Bikerumor founder Tyler Benedict said:

“Tim’s experience runs from top to bottom. His 17-year knowledge of the industry brings a true insider’s perspective to our team. Equally impressive is his enthusiasm for the industry and telling those stories in new ways."

Krueger joins Benedict and Zach Overholt as a full-time member of the Bikerumor editorial team. The site has also added Ahmaud Templeton and Kelsey Phillips as freelance contributors. Templeton is a grad student at Guilford College, a student mentor and mountain biker. Phillips is a bike messenger and attends Northwestern University – she races road, cyclocross and track.
